About me:
It's been over 8 years since I joined RLC...5 with this profile, and a LOT has changed. Gone is the worried, neurotic mess of a woman who used to log into this world. Here and now is a woman who has faced adversity and has succeeded. After my divorce in 2013, I pursued my PhD in Communicative Arts...which I received in late 2017. I am now tasked with teaching a new generation of young people what it's like to face adversity and turn that into new opportunities and new adventures. As far as RLC goes, I am laid back and kind...but I do not have time for people who do not like me for me. I am here, exactly who I am in real life...which may or may not be to your liking. Regardless, I give everyone a chance, but reserve the right to push people away whom I feel are toxic or not in my soul's best interest. It's a dirty business sometimes...but in this digital life, it is the only way to achieve happiness. :) I balance my real and digital life pretty well (I think), and thus have found a very good place in my life...one that didn't come easily. (And every ounce of credit goes to my friends...RL and RLC who have supported me)
Who I'd like to meet:
I've started at this stupid question for 8 years, and I still don't know what it means. Do you mean like anywhere? anytime? Like Margret Sanger or John Kennedy? Or just people in RLC? Instead, I will answer this question in the most literal sense: I want to meet somebody who is fun...kind, and likes me for me. Not for what they want me to be. I want to meet somebody who understands what makes a true friend...not somebody who is playing a game on a screen. True friends here do not care who you are or who you're trying to be. They will talk to you when you're down...lift your spirits when you need it...and tell you when you need to snap out of your funk. They will not allow you to pity yourself, just as they will take your feelings into consideration at every turn in every day. I have the greatest friends in the world here...and they are my everything. (But can always use a few more)
