It’s been over a year since the world has first been ticked off by the angst ridden hijinx of PHILIP GRAPIN, aka FLIP-G. Things just ain’t the same for pranksters A lot of shit’s taken place since FLIP-G debut hit the fan in January of 2005. A couple of memorable appearances here, a lil’ criticism there. A little lawsuit here, a little finger pointing there. It doesn’t matter though. Thanks to these unexpected turns of events, now he has enough ammo to create FLIP-G LP. As expected, the album jump-starts on a twisted note with “HOMEBOY” an up-beat-on-beat gem in which flip immediately addresses issues such as the highly publicized lawsuit from former artist. Another standout track is the eerie “ DITO SA PUSO” which is one of the most vivid tales ever told by any artist. Produced by Instantainment production and ARec studios FLIP-G uses the morbid background to speak on the topic of obsessed lover. At five minutes length, the song takes listeners through the disturbed mind of flip, an overly obsessed lover who sees his girlfriend in a god-like fashion. The story unfolds as FLIP-G steps into his mind The results are a vivid and emotional trip that is sure to raise hairs. More anger is beautifully expressed through the album, “DI KITA MAKALIMUTAN” an piano-driven tune in which FLIP-G retorts on everything from the current state of his relationship to broke-up. If there’s any ounce of “joy” on this album it’s about 2 percent of “PRETTY GIRL” and the album’s first single, “BOUNCE.” APL's presence on this album is felt at full capacity as she, along with his pyro-producing apprentice KRAQ, take helm of the sound ..s. He also appears to spit a few bars with FLIP-G on “1 4 3” and some other tracks. After a solder-like tour of duty through hip-hop’s underground, FLIP-G was signed to ARec studios and Instantainment productions, where he released The FLIP-G LP. The album debuted at No. 8 and went on to sell copies. The album introduced the world to CEBU's new prince of rhyme. With letting the world paint that picture, FLIP followed it up with no-nonsense appearances on Pringlesupop, pinoy idol. That anger eventually surfaced during the recording of his highly appriciated Album.
