I've been on RLC for about 5 years now and have met some incredible people, some of whom I believe will be lifelong friends.

I have loved and been loved, I have loved and been duped, I have loved and then realised later that it was never really love.

I believe that integrity and honesty is of the utmost importance. As much as I joke around, I am always honest. I have been accused of things in RLC (from having a secret, fake profile to stalking an ex's new girlfriend -- both completely ridiculous claims, if you know anything about me) that are simply untrue and I have been so fortunate to have my true friends who know me, back me up. If you ask me something, you will get the truth. If you don't want to know the truth, don't ask!

Lastly, I am not here to steal anyone's boyfriend or spouse. I have too much respect for myself and too much respect for other women to sneak around and/or try to coerce a man from his chosen mate. I don't want to spend one minute with someone who would rather be with someone else and I will not seek out nor pursue those who are already in relationships. I've had that done to me and have happily waved goodbye as I don't want anything to do with a man whose head is so easily turned by someone who has little respect for the fact that he is already "taken".

So, for anyone who is concerned that I am after her partner, please let it go. There is nothing I want less than another woman's man. I want my own! LOL And mine IS the best! I love my baby, BigB_l_!

I'm looking to meet people who love a good laugh, appreciate life and love to explore... the Utherverse.

Well, I'm barely on anymore and by barely, I mean virtually never. I think I might've grown out of the virtual dating life. I have dated some wonderful men on here but relationships run their course. My last one was about 8 years long and ended up more in real life than in the virtual one I created here. The rest of the men I've dated on here just didn't work out. Either we had just not completely meshed or time zones have prohibited our ability to see each other on a more regular basis. Unfortunately, I've also been with men who have lied, cheated, misrepresented themselves or some combination of the above.

I am not looking to be the focus of anyone's drama nor do I have a deep desire to be the center of attention. There are a few, lonely, petty souls who have felt the need to point fingers and sling accusations my way over the years in order to make themselves feel important and to throw little pity parties for themselves.

Thankfully the people I'm most referring to are gone from RLC (onto Second Life -- RLC's afterlife, it seems) so let's hope they stay gone with their shadows of a life and leave the rest of us alone.

I absolutely love to travel. I was on sabbatical a few years ago and was able to see so much of the world. I lived on a ship for 2 and a half months that travelled through French Polynesia, the Tahitian Islands, Central and South America, took a train across Canada, spent a month in Europe, went snorkeling for the first time in the Cook Islands, went to a sea horse farm, swam with dolphins, swam with sea lions... So I guess another interest is animals... and swimming... and swimming with animals! lol Well, more floating and playing in the water and splashing about and less swimming laps or racing. I like a laid back life. :))

I'm a fan of mainstream alternative. I know that's a bit of an oxymoron but I don't want to insult the lovers of true alternative music by claiming otherwise. In particular, I love Pink, Green Day and Lily Allen but have been known to sing along with a wide range of music.

Movies:

My undergraduate degree is in Film so I can be kind of a film snob. I love some pretty obscure films but will also get sucked into a Hollywood blockbuster. I'm still on the lookout for a horror movie that is actually scary... Any suggestions?

Books:

When I have time to read I have a wide variety of interests. I mostly read fiction but have found myself interested in the odd non-fiction book. My tastes include anything from Wicked, The Life of Pi or Bleeding London to Harry Potter... I also like some picture books... I'm an elementary school teacher! Don't judge!
