Thank you for being you, and being my friend.

I just wanted to take the time to express to a few of you here,
my special friends, how I truly do appreciate your being my friends,
how each of you in your own ways has touched my life and left
upon it forever your own uniquely warm impressions.
My life, which I have allowed to become so very integrated into
this place we share, would not be the same to me at all were it not
for the precious and unique ways each of you have touched my heart.

Those of you close to me do know that I endeavor to be genuine, honest,
sincere, and caring in here, traits each of you share with me in truth,
the stuff which brings us and holds us together so naturally here,
like family side by side in a long bittersweet battle against all odds.

I've had a rather hard fight of it here of late, as I know some
of you have also. Sometimes the more we lay ourselves down for others,
the more we get trampled and the less we are appreciated, but such is
our way, the takers take, the players wound, and the givers bleed.

I just wanted to raise my glass to you each my dear friends, and let
you know that the gift of your friendship which you have shared with
me is appreciated, deeply in fact, the moments you have brought a
smile to my face, or shared a tear, a silent embrace, are precious
to me, as are you my very very dear friend, truly.

May God richly bless you in all your ways, guard you from all harm,
and may He bring you to that place of happy completion He has always
been preparing for you, seeded by every tear you thought He had not shared.
