Though being an avid outdoorsy type person might have you stop by to say hello. I'm fairly certain that mentioning that I love fishing isn't something that would hold your attention for very long. However, tossing the line into the water and waiting for a fish to bite just so that I can hook him and reel him in, isn't the only reason that I love fishing. I could tell you of the warm summer nights lounging on the banks of a cool blue lake; listening to the crickets start their evening chirp as I watch the fireflies begin to rise from the tall grass. Hearing the fish plop back into the water after catching the unsuspecting firefly or mosquito that ventured too near the water surface isn't at all unpleasant either. But most of all, the ability to just kick back, relax and let all the cares and worries of the world just fade away into nothingness as the night progresses while I do nothing more than enjoy the evening. Who cares if I catch that trophy or not?
Unfortunately, I must eat and the real world demands my attention and insists that I return to the hustle and bustle of trying to earn a living. Unfortunately, it has decided that right this minute is when it needs my immediate attention and I must abandon the effort of telling you more about me.
This is going to sound so sappy and so very cliché but I do like to take long walks on beaches. I don't need to be walking hand in hand at sunset with a beautiful lady and all the trimmings that are included in the cliché. I love the smell of the salt air and the sound of the waves crashing to the beach. I also enjoy picking up and looking at the various seashells to study their uniqueness. I love to watch children on the beach as they attempt to build their sandcastles. Heck, I've even been spotted picking up a plastic bucket to help them create the castle of their fantastic imaginations. I love children though I'm not sure parenting is a skill I possess. I'm just a big kid myself.
I like the old cowboy movies, especially John Wayne. I like Science Fiction in both movies and books. I'd much rather watch "The Walking Dead" than "Gossip Girl"; "Castle" over "2 Broke Girls" and the verdict is still out on Tim Allen's latest; "Last Man Standing" over "Tim the Tool Man Taylor". The "Three Stooges" over cartoons, except for maybe Porky Pig and Daffy Duck. And if I'm lucky enough to have a Saturday morning away from work and all to myself I might be seen wearing my PJ's to sit in front of the television with my big bowl of Cap'n Crunch and a video of those very critters I mentioned. Remember... I'm just a big kid myself.
I am fairly certain that even though I'm still a "greenie" under the fancy skin, that I'm going to enjoy the time I spend in RLC. I get to travel the world and meet people from all walks of life and lifestyles and hopefully I'll make a few new friends along the way. I AM a tad bit backward in starting conversations. Only because I'm not familiar enough with the people who surround me in transport; therefore, I have no idea just how my sense of humor would be taken. And I wouldn't have the foggiest notion of how to start a conversation. So you'll find me lurking on a perch somewhere in transport, observing while periodically tossing in my own two cents. But I don't think you'll find me starting any topics in transport.
Thus ends my soliloquy expounding my virtues. Yes, I have to end this part by being an ass and proving I have a vocabulary a smidgen larger than a Junior High School student.
