Because You Kissed Me Good-Night. I climbed the door And opened the stairs I said my pajamas And put on my prayers Then turned off my bed And crawled into the light All because you kissed me good-night Next morning, I woke And scrambled my shoes Polished my eggs and Toasted the news I couldn't tell my left from right All cause you kissed me good-night. That evening, at last, I felt normal again I called up my mother and picked up the phone I spoke to my puppy And threw my dad a bone Even at midnight The sun was still bright All because you kissed me good-night

For you my sweet angel I would die I'd pick all the stars from the sky And give them all just for you To let you know how much I love you My angel I'll love you thru all eternity I would do anything for you sweetie I wrote this poem from my heart To let you know your my sweetheart Please stay with me forever Take my hand and lets be together Lets fly up to the heavens above And show everyone we are in love

Through the last few days, I've drowned in my sorrow, I've cried myself to sleep, Hoping for a brighter tomorrow. I dreamed way too much, Dreamed of a fairy tale life, With two wonderful kids, And a beautiful wife. I've wondered countless times, Why I'm in such misery, Because every second I live, Feels like eternity. I've tried to be a living Romeo, But this Romeo is bleeding, My eyes bleed tears, During love poems I'm reading. But this has all seemed, Like a long rainbow, With a chest at the end, Letting me know, That very soon, I shall have my brighter day, And that day will come, When you hear what I say. I'm so very scared, That I shall hear good-bye, I know if I do, I'll break down and cry. But I must face my fears, And be no longer sad and blue, I'm ready to say it, I need you.

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies. I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size But when I start to tell them, They think I'm telling lies. I say, It's in the reach of my arms The span of my hips, The stride of my step, The curl of my lips. I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me. I walk into a room Just as cool as you please, And to a man, The fellows stand or Fall down on their knees. Then they swarm around me, A hive of honey bees. I say, It's the fire in my eyes, And the flash of my teeth, The swing in my waist, And the joy in my feet. I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me. Men themselves have wondered What they see in me. They try so much But they can't touch My inner mystery. When I try to show them They say they still can't see. I say, It's in the arch of my back, The sun of my smile, The ride of my breasts, The grace of my style. I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me. Now you understand Just why my head's not bowed. I don't shout or jump about Or have to talk real loud. When you see me passing It ought to make you proud. I say, It's in the click of my heels, The bend of my hair, the palm of my hand, The need of my care, 'Cause I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me.
